Advanced 4x4 with Twin-Clutch RDU

The 2021 Bronco Sport Badlands driveline is engineered to balance off-road capability with on-road performance. The twin-clutch rear-drive unit can send torque to a single rear wheel even when the other three wheels have no traction. It can divert virtually all rear axle torque to either rear wheel.  In concert with the vehicle's selectable G.O.A.T. Modes,™ the hardware introduces the ability to make the vehicle more agile on loose terrain.

Off-Road Suspension

The Bronco Sport suspension system - optimized to help drivers maintain vehicle composure while aggressively taking on rugged terrain - is highlighted by uniquely tuned front struts with hydraulic rebound stops designed to provide a quieter, less jarring off-road experience. In addition, 46 mm diameter monotube rear shocks provide improved response and more comfort off-road, while softer springs and anti-roll bars provide greater articulation over obstacles. *
